My oldest friend Tim and his lovely love Ute visited us, and we had a few fine days in Padova and then went to Venice for an overnight. The train from Padova to Venezia takes 25 minutes. The ride costs about a Euro per minute, but it's worth it! We had an extraordinary time. To relate it with justice would take a masterwork. Short of that, here are a few snapshots I took along the way.
Take a wall. Add water. Wait.
Cliches can delight.
Even though it was a still day, Moira and Tim were just about bowled over by the duomo.
I got to wondering how they made these, before steam engines.
A fellow tourist from LA kindly took this shot.
